Since 2013, Karl Kandt has assisted veterans and their families in securing gainful employment across a variety of sectors. Serving as a veterans’ employment representative he assists service members who are transitioning to a new career field. Karl Kandt’s range of assistance includes career planning, job search, resume reviews, interview coaching, and employment referrals.
In addition to attending job and resource fairs in the community, Mr. Kandt has a presence at employer events and works with member agencies to develop outreach opportunities. He also has an extensive knowledge of labor market trends and what positions are in demand. In 2023, he earned selection as the Kansas Department of Commerce’s Employee of the Quarter.
Mr. Kandt’s background includes farming and cattle operations management. He has also served as US Department of Veterans Affairs vocational rehabilitation counselor. He is active with the Manhattan Solar Kiwanis Club, where he contributes to efforts that support local children's charities. He is also a Manhattan High School Alumni Association member and active with the Alumni and President’s Clubs of Emporia State University.
